Maxim Karpov

Maxim Karpov is a skilled physicist and entrepreneur with substantial experience in academia and industry. Currently serving as Co-CEO and Co-Founder at Enlightra since January 2021, Maxim previously held roles as a SNF BRIDGE Fellow and Postdoc at CSEM from April 2021 to September 2022, as well as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant and PhD Student at Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne from September 2014 to March 2021, specializing in the physics and applications of dissipative Kerr solitons. Early research experience includes engineering work at Kotel'nikov IRE, visiting researcher positions at California Institute of Technology and Chalmers University of Technology, and a research trainee role at Fermilab. Maxim Karpov earned a PhD in Physics from EPFL and a Master of Science in Applied Physics and Mathematics from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. Additionally, participation in Y Combinator enriched entrepreneurial knowledge.
