Paul Bong-Chull KIM, Ph.D., currently holds the position of Director of Active Materials at ENOVIX Corporation, focusing on high energy 3D battery development with a 100% silicon anode since April 2023. Previously, KIM served as Senior Director of Battery Engineering at Nanotech Energy, leading battery development for electric vehicle applications, and as Senior Director of Development at EoCell, Inc., where advanced silicon anode materials and battery platforms for EVs were developed. KIM's extensive experience includes a significant tenure at Samsung SDI, where leadership roles encompassed principal engineer and group leader in prismatic cell development and silicon anode material. Earlier career experiences include research roles at both the National Institute for Materials Science and Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation, specializing in solid-state batteries and high-capacity anode materials. KIM earned a Ph.D. and a Master of Engineering in Material Science and Engineering from Kyungpook National University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in the same field and experience as an exchange student at the Tokyo Institute of Technology.
