Julian Churchill

Julian Churchill has over 15 years of experience in software engineering and management roles. Julian started their career at Unify as a Software Engineer and later became a Senior Software Engineer. Julian then worked at Red Box Recorders as an Analyst Programmer before joining Impero Software as a Senior Software Developer. At Impero Software, Julian worked on developing and supporting a Classroom Management and Safeguarding product, transitioning it from a legacy product to the cloud. Julian also played a key role in creating software architecture and design for the Azure cloud environment. Currently, Julian is working at ENSEK as a Lead Software Engineer, responsible for leading software development projects. In 2021, they will transition to the role of Engineering Manager at ENSEK.

Julian Churchill earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Genetic Algorithms and Neural Networks from Nottingham Trent University between 2001 and 2005. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science from the same university from 2000 to 2001. Julian also holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from the University of Nottingham, which they obtained from 1997 to 2000.
