Eugene Knighten

Eugene Knighten, P.E. has over 25 years of experience in plant operations and management, currently serving as Plant General Manager at Entergy since January 1998. Knighten has a proven track record in enhancing safety management programs and ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple facilities, including the Hot Spring CCGT Electric Facility and several generating plants. Previous roles at Entergy include Plant Manager and Production Superintendent, alongside leadership in root cause analysis for equipment failures. Prior to Entergy, Knighten worked at International Paper in various engineering and maintenance coordination positions. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from Tulane University's A.B. Freeman School of Business.
