Brian An, PhD, is a distinguished academic and researcher currently serving as Co-Director of the Center for Urban Research and Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology since August 2020. An also holds multiple roles, including Assistant Professor of Public Policy & Finance and Director of the Master of Science in Public Policy program at Georgia Tech, and an Adjunct Professorship at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) through 2027. An's expertise encompasses urban development, data analysis, and energy policy, with significant contributions as Principal Investigator for various research projects at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. As the Founder and Co-Director of GROWER, An directs an interdisciplinary team focused on real-time power outage data to enhance grid resilience.
