With degrees in medicine and surgery, and a Ph.D. in Transport Physiology, Dr. Vidyasagar is currently Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Florida. His postdoctoral fellowship was at Yale University and he collaborated with the National Space Biomedical Research Institute, a subsidiary of NASA. He was a Wellcome Research officer at Christian Medical College and Hospital Vellore, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India, where he studied enteric diseases.
