David brings 15 years’ experience in local government, having been an elected Community Board member and Christchurch City Councillor.
He has a particular interest in water and catchment management and holds a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Geology. David started his career with the North Canterbury Catchment Board – which later became part of Environment Canterbury.
David campaigned on improving water quality and adaptation to natural hazards in the waterways, rivers, lakes and coastal marine environments. He describes himself as action-oriented, resourceful and valuing efficiency.
