Russell C. Langan

Russell C. Langan, MD, FACS, FSSO, is an experienced surgical oncologist currently serving as the Associate Chief Surgical Officer at RWJBarnabas Health, while also directing surgical oncology in the Northern Region and leading the Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery department at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. With a specialization in complex surgical oncology, Russell focuses on the surgical management of pancreatic, liver, and bile duct diseases. Additionally, Russell holds positions with Dilon Technologies Inc. as a Surgical Advisor and leads Langan Oncologic Consulting as Chief Executive Officer. An Associate Professor of Surgery at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Russell has an extensive background, completing a fellowship in Complex Surgical Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and a residency in General Surgery at Georgetown University Medical Center. Russell’s educational credentials include a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Cornell University and a Doctor of Medicine from St. George's University.
