Tuula Ikonen

Tuula Ikonen is an accomplished professional in pharmacovigilance with extensive experience in drug safety. Currently serving as the Head of the Pharmacovigilance Unit at EORTC since January 2018, Tuula has previously held significant roles at Primex Pharmaceuticals Oy as Pharmacovigilance Manager and at Roche Oy as a Senior Drug Safety Specialist, where responsibilities included individual safety case report processing and managing periodic report submissions. Tuula's career encompasses various roles in drug safety across renowned organizations, including Drug Safety Officer at Roche, Drug Safety Specialist positions at Orion Corporation and Pfizer Oy, and earlier work as a Clinical Supply Coordinator at AstraZeneca Oy. Tuula holds a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from the University of Helsinki and a Master of Science degree from the University of Tampere.
