Jari Mertala

Jari Mertala is an experienced Quality Engineer currently employed at Epec Oy since November 2019, where responsibilities include co-leading the implementation of IATF 16949 quality systems and providing support with core tools such as DFMEA and MSA. Prior to Epec Oy, Jari worked at ArcticBiomaterials focusing on the maintenance of ISO13485 and ISO9001:2015 quality systems, and at Optinova managing customer complaints and supporting ISO standards. Previous positions include Operational Development Engineer at John Deere Forestry Oy, Reliability Test Specialist at Huawei, Reliability Test Engineer at Sony Ericsson, and Quality Specialist at Nokia, with an early career as an Industrial Engineer at Hydnum Oy. Jari holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering specialized in Quality technology from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and has numerous qualifications in electrical work safety and occupational safety.
