Jarno Leppänen

Jarno Leppänen is a Model-Based Design Engineer at Epec Oy since March 2024, focusing on control system development and simulation for Diesel-Electric vehicles and off-road machinery using Matlab/Simulink. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at Tampere University from May 2022 to November 2023, contributing to the Clean Propulsion Technologies project, and a trainee role at Metso Outotec from May 2020 to May 2022, where design work for hydraulic and power units for mobile plants was conducted. Additionally, Jarno has experience as a Student Teacher at Tampere University, teaching Solidworks, and as a Prototype Mechanic Trainee at AGCO Corporation. Jarno holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tampere University, supplemented by a Bachelor's degree in the same field, and earlier vocational education in Metalwork and Machinery.
