Joel Rantala

Joel Rantala is a Control System Engineer and Functional Safety Designer at Epec Oy since June 2021. Prior experience includes a tenure at Wärtsilä from February 2012 to June 2021, where Joel served as Chief Project Engineer, managing power plant project execution, electrical and automation design, procurement, subcontracting, and customer relations. In addition, Joel held the position of Project Engineer, focusing on automation and electrical design for nuclear Emergency Diesel Generator projects, ensuring compliance with safety classifications, testing, and stakeholder communication. Earlier roles included Assistant NDT-inspector at Insinööritoimisto Laatutesti Oy and an internship in tech support at Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences. Joel holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Automation Engineering from Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences, completed in 2012.
