Ghizlan Achkari

Ghizlan Achkari has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Ghizlan started their career in 2002 as a Coordinator Client Service Desk at Scarlet. Ghizlan then joined APX - part of EPEX SPOT in 2004 and held various roles such as Market Operator, Teamleader Operations, and Operations Manager Power, where they managed teams and ensured smooth day-to-day operations.

In 2016, Ghizlan moved to EPEX SPOT as the Head of Market operations. In this role, they led a team of 20 FTEs across multiple locations and was responsible for operating continuous intraday markets, providing support and leadership to the operations team, and representing operations in internal and external committees.

In 2019, Ghizlan transitioned within EPEX SPOT to become the Director of Project & Portfolio Management, where their main focus was on managing projects and portfolios.

Throughout their career, Ghizlan has exhibited strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of operational processes, and the ability to successfully implement projects within the energy trading industry.

Ghizlan Achkari completed their education with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences in 2015. Prior to that, they attended ICT Academy from 1999 to 2003, where they earned a degree as a System Administrator. In 2015, Ghizlan Achkari also spent a year studying Governance, Organization, and Management at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam). The field of study for their Business Administration degree is not specified.
