Karen Wong

Karen Wong currently serves as a Physician at Epic since September 2023. Prior experience includes a substantial role at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where Karen acted as the Associate Director for Data Science within the National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases from June 2013 to September 2023. Previous positions at CDC involved leadership in data science initiatives, including leading teams focused on machine intelligence, the COVID-19 response, and enteric disease surveillance. Karen also held the position of Adjunct Assistant Professor of Medicine at Emory Healthcare from April 2014 to July 2023 and served as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer at CDC from 2011 to 2013. Academically, Karen holds multiple degrees from prestigious institutions, including a Master's in Information and Data Science from UC Berkeley and a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and a Doctor of Medicine from Columbia University.
