Jimmy Ly

Jimmy Ly has a diverse work experience spanning various roles, industries, and countries. Jimmy is currently working as the Director of Data Platform at Epidemic Sound since June 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Analytics at Epidemic Sound from June 2022 to July 2023. Before joining Epidemic Sound, Jimmy worked at Embark Studios as a Commercial Tech Lead, where they focused on building data and analytics pipelines and tooling within Commercial Tech, automating workflows, and promoting self-service analytics. Jimmy was with Embark Studios from October 2020 to June 2022.

Jimmy also has experience working at King, where they held multiple roles from Data Scientist to Senior Business Performance Manager and Data Science Tech Lead. Jimmy'stenure at King lasted from October 2015 to July 2020. In addition, they worked as a Fraud Analyst at Klarna AB from August 2013 to October 2015. Before that, they completed their Master thesis at Schlumberger, where they developed a plug-in for classification of seismic attribute images resulting in a patent. Jimmy also worked as a Project Manager at Mattecentrum, a non-profit math tutoring organization, and as a Test Engineer at GE Healthcare.

Jimmy started their professional journey with a Bachelor thesis at Angstrom Laboratory, Department of Applied Material Sciences, where they constructed and set up a probe station for electrical measurements on graphene and molecules in gas atmospheres.

Additionally, they served as a Project Leader at Uppsala kommun, leading a project to provide free online tutoring for primary school students. Jimmy's varied work experience showcases their expertise in data analytics, project management, and fraud analysis.

Jimmy Ly attended Uppsala University from 2007 to 2013, where they obtained an M.Sc degree in Engineering Physics. In 2010, they also participated in an exchange program at Zhejiang University.
