Clémence Hurni

Staff Scientist In 3d Transcriptomics at Wyss Center for Bio and Neuroengineering

Clémence Yumie Hurni is a Research Scientist specializing in Spatial Transcriptomics at the Wyss Center for Bio and Neuroengineering since March 2022. Prior roles include Application Development Scientist at Lunaphore and Doctoral Assistant in Bioengineering and Biotechnology at EPFL, where Clémence contributed to modeling RNA distribution through next-generation sequencing and single-molecule RNA FISH, and developed image analysis pipelines. Clémence's experience also encompasses teaching as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, conducting research on stem cell dynamics, and engaging in various research and administrative roles across institutions such as Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine and the Human Brain Project. Clémence earned a PhD in Biotechnology and Bioengineering from EPFL and holds multiple degrees in the field, including a Master of Science in Bioengineering and a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences and Technologies.
