Stephen Breen has a long and varied career in the financial and payments industry. In 1993, they co-founded MBE B.V. and served as a Director. In 2003, they co-founded Fitzwilliam Ltd and served as Managing Director. In 2004, they co-founded BB Ltd and also served as Managing Director. In 2006, they joined Digicel Group as Retail Rollout Director for Digicel Pacific. In 2007, they founded FlexPacific (International) Ltd and served as CEO until 2010 when it was acquired by Digicel Pacific. In 2010, they joined Digicel Group as Head of Mobile Financial Services for Digicel Pacific. In 2011, they joined Telenor Group as an Advisory Board Member for Telenor Global Services and also joined Visa as Digital Partnerships & Ventures, Fintech | Venture Engagement - Asia Pacific, Innovation & Strategic Partnerships - Asia Pacific, Strategic Products, Emerging Product Solutions - Asia Pacific, and Business Development, Mobile Solutions - Asia Pacific. In 2019, they joined Railsbank as Innovation & Strategic Partnerships. In 2022, they joined Episode Six as Managing Director - EMEA.
Stephen Breen's education history includes attending Blackrock College in Co. Dublin, Ireland from 1980 to 1984, St. Gerard's School in Ireland from 1984 to 1988, and the Ecole de Management de la Sorbonne from 1988 to 1989. In 2017, they completed the Venture Capital Executive Programme at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
