Vice President 'data Driven Business Solutions' at EPLAN

Roger Scholtes has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Roger started their career at Cadac Group in 1988, where they served as a Country Manager until 2001. At Cadac Group, they specialized in automation solutions for digital design information and developed software for improving design processes and project communication.

After leaving Cadac Group, Scholtes joined CIDEON Systems GmbH in 2002 as a Regional Sales Manager. During their time there, they were responsible for sales of CAD/PDM/PLM solutions, acquiring new customers, and managing the Düsseldorf branch. Roger also played a key role in site development through targeted marketing and sales activities.

In 2006, Scholtes transitioned to EPLAN Software & Service as the Division Manager MCAD/PDM. Roger led the development and implementation of CAE solutions for the electrical design process, establishing EPLAN as one of the global leaders in the field. Roger ended their tenure at EPLAN in 2011.

Following their time at EPLAN, Scholtes joined CIDEON Engineering GmbH & Co. KG in 2011 as the Directeur/Managing Director/Geschäftsführer. At CIDEON Engineering, they oversaw the design of trains and provided technical documentation and drawings. Roger left the company in 2015.

Returning to EPLAN Software & Service in 2015, Scholtes took on the role of Strategic Account Manager until 2019. In this position, they managed strategic accounts and worked closely with clients to meet their needs.

In 2019, Scholtes was promoted to Managing Director at EPLAN, where they had a broad range of responsibilities. Roger then assumed the role of Global Vice President 'Data Driven Business Solutions' in 2023, focusing on leveraging data to drive business strategies and solutions.

Overall, Scholtes has demonstrated expertise in sales, management, and strategic leadership, particularly in the fields of automation solutions, CAD/PDM/PLM, and engineering design.

Roger Scholtes attended RWTH Aachen University from 1987 to 1994, where they obtained a degree in Bauingenieurwesen (civil engineering).
