SHIFT DETAILS: Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:00pm

POSITION SUMMARY: The Process Engineer will be responsible for process-engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality and delivery improvements in order to support a manufacturing organization for the injection molding industry.

ESSENTIAL CORE FUNCTIONS:

Develop injection molding processes using proven scientific methodologies. Establish robust, repeatable and reproducible process parameters. Validate injection mold and work cell through IQ,OQ, & PQ validation process. Document in detail, molding process, mold set up, work cell layout, and trouble shooting information for each job that is validated. Aid in the development and maintenance of process documentation. Support new process equipment production. Support current production needs for trouble shooting, process improvements, Mold Changes, Mold insert changeovers, Mold Cleanings and Maintenance, and start ups. Review processing methods. Participate in activities pertaining to cycle time and process improvements. Understand and execute all plant policies and procedures. Ensures ISO and safety standards are adhered to. Aid in positive team member relations centered on mutual trust, dignity, respect, fairness, consistency, two-way communication, teamwork, and harmony.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for identifying quality problems in products. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software. (Word,Excel,Adobe,Foxit,Powerpoint, Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of EPTAM’s software packages (IQMS). Good housekeeping and safe working habits. MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

EDUCATION: Trade school graduate or associates degree or a combination of experience and education, Bachelor’s Degree in Plastics Engineering preferred. Knowledge of Scientific Molding principals EXPERIENCE: Medical device manufacturing experience, 5+ years experience in an injection molding operation, preferably 24-7 OTHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess good written and verbal communication skills with our internal and external customers. Basic knowledge of equipment and Tooling. Advanced ability to read prints and use measuring equipment along with advanced math skills.
