Harini Krishnan is a prominent leader and activist within the South Asian community, serving as the National Organizing Chair and Co-Founder of South Asians for America since May 2021, where efforts include establishing state chapters and fostering relationships with key community leaders. With significant roles in the California Democratic Party, including Co-Chair of the Finance Committee and recognition as API Trailblazer of the Year, Harini has demonstrated a strong commitment to political engagement and fundraising initiatives. Additional contributions include board membership with Fund Her, oversight of the Fund Committee at Equal Access International, and advocacy as a Democratic Central Committee Alternate. A professional Indian Classical Vocalist with over four decades of experience, Harini has also served as Vice Chair of the Arts Commission for San Mateo County and received the 2020 Citizen of the Year Award from the Town of Hillsborough. Educational qualifications include a Public Leadership Program at Harvard Kennedy School and advanced degrees from the University of Southern California and UC Irvine.
