Michael Smith is an experienced communications and media professional with a diverse background in meteorology, reporting, and operations management. Currently, Michael serves as the Supervising Producer and Operations Manager at equalpride since July 2022, previously holding roles such as Climate Change Reporter and Producer. Prior to this, Michael worked as a Communications Specialist at C² Technologies, Inc., and the Georgia Department of Public Health. Additional experience includes positions at Trinity School of Medicine, Community Health Works, and Dublin City School Supt, where Michael was an Instructor and Lead Robotics Coach. Michael's earlier career in meteorology features roles at Nexstar Media Group, CBS News, The Weather Channel, and WPLG. Academic qualifications include a BS in Geosciences with an emphasis in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University, complemented by the AMS Seal of Approval and a minor in Spanish.
