Alex Gomez

Alex Gomez is an experienced engineer with a substantial background in electrical operations and maintenance. Currently serving as Lead Engineer at Equinor since December 2021, Alex oversees electrical operations for the Empire Wind project and has also contributed as a Principal Engineer on various projects. Prior roles include Operations Manager at NRG Energy, where management of operations for a substantial peaking plant was key, and a progression through maintenance-focused positions at NAES Corporation and New York Power Authority. Earlier experiences at Con Edison and Delta Air Lines provided foundational expertise in instrumentation, controls, and aircraft maintenance coordination. Alex holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from The City College of New York and a Master of Science in Data Science from Stevens Institute of Technology.
