Rick Ruff currently serves as a B407 Float Pilot at Med-Trans Corporation since September 2023. Prior to this role, Rick held the position of Aviation Site Manager / Check Airman for the Boston MedFlight Contract at Era Helicopters from October 2003 to the present. Rick retired as the Director of Aviation Operations at Boston MedFlight, a role held from October 2014 to May 2023. Previous experience includes serving as SPIFR EMS PIC for the BK117/AS365N2 and BK117/BO105 at Keystone Helicopters under the Boston MedFlight Contract from July 1998 to March 2003. Additionally, Rick's military background includes service as MH6 FMQ / Flight Lead / SIP with A Co, 1st Battalion, 160th Special Operations Regiment from 1985 to 1993. Rick earned a Bachelor of Science in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University between 1987 and 1990.
