Marilyn Jayachandran is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the electric utility sector. Currently serving as Principal - System Operations Improvement Engineer at ERCOT since February 2025, Marilyn previously held the position of Manager - Advanced System Analytics & Modeling at the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) from May 2023 to February 2025. Prior to that, Marilyn spent over a decade at PJM Interconnection, progressing from Senior Engineer roles in Transmission Operations and Transmission Services to Lead Engineer - Interconnection Analysis. Earlier experience includes roles as a Transmission Planning Engineer at Otter Tail Power Company and a Design Engineer at Landis+Gyr. Marilyn holds an MBA from Villanova University, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from North Dakota State University, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Madras.
