Mike Oates has a strong background in the insurance industry, with work experience spanning over three decades. Mike started their career as a Business Analyst at New York Life Insurance Co in 1983, where they worked for two years. Mike then moved on to Skandia Re, where they held the position of VP from 1991 to 1994. Following this, they worked at JOHNSON & HIGGINS, INC. as a VP from 1996 to 1999. In 1998, they joined Guy Carpenter & Company, Ltd. as an SVP and remained in this role until 2001. In the same year, they became the EVP at eReinsure. Additionally, in 2001, they started their own company, DocSettle, where they serve as the Owner.
Mike Oates received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Rochester in 1983. Mike then went on to pursue further education and obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance and Management from New York University between 1990 and 1994.
