Ergobaby Europe GmbH
Our success story began in the year 2002 on the Hawaiian island of Maui. Karin Frost was searching for a baby carrier with which she could carry her newborn son as close as possible while maintaining it in a safe position. Triggered by the desire to keep her baby as close as possible to her, all the while mastering the small and big challenges of life, she decided to design her own model. Her inspiration was drawn from indigenous people who almost exclusively carried their babies close to their bodies. Frost‘s vision: The ultimate baby carrier - comfortable for both the baby and parents. At the same time, it must be easy and intuitive to handle. Inspired by the backdrop of Hawaii, she eventually developed the distinctive logo depicting a nautilus clam, which represents Ergobaby to this day. 15 years now and still going strong as a manufacturer of ergonomic and unique products that are easy to handle and are already available in over 50 countries. Ergonomics is not just a buzzword for us. Instead, it is our profound belief and promise to only design products that improve both the parents‘ and the babies‘ physiology. There is a reason that our carrying aids have received the rating “hip healthy” by the “International Hip Dysplasia Institute (IHDI)” as well as the seal of approval from the Healthy Back Campaign. Ergobaby‘s product landscape has meanwhile expanded into various categories: Aside from an extensive product line in all things sleep, we now have breastfeeding pillows, diaper bags, doll carriers for siblings and, since 2018, the super compact and agile Metro Compact City Stroller. We at Ergobaby are looking forward to defining new standards with our products. That is why we are always on the lookout for solutions and improvements that fit our guiding principle: We want to assist families with unique, intelligent and ergonomic solutions.
