Antonello Scalmato has a diverse work history, beginning with their role as a Co-Founder and Director of Cloud Services and AI at Ermit since April 2014. Antonello later became the Director of Cloud Services and AI at Pillo Health in April 2017. In September 2018, they started working as a Researcher at the University of Genoa, and in September 2020, their position transitioned to a contractual Professor role. From August 2011 to October 2015, Scalmato was employed as Il Prezzo Giusto. Additionally, they served as an ICT Consultant at Genova Robot Srl from January to December 2008. Prior to that, they worked as a Swimming Instructor and Educator at Centro Nuoto Sestri from May 2001 to November 2007. Most recently, Scalmato has held the position of Chief Technology Officer at lab-go since November 2022, and previously worked as the CTO at Aosta Valley Card starting from November 2021.
Antonello Scalmato completed their Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering from Università degli Studi di Genova, which took place from 2002 to 2007. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering at the same university from 2009 to 2011.
In addition to their formal education, Antonello Scalmato obtained a certification as a Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate from Microsoft in March 2022.
