Unai Sardón

Unai Sardón serves as the Corporate Venturing & Open Innovation Manager at Eroski since July 2018, focusing on frameworks and tools for open innovation, building alliances, and accelerating new business development. Unai has a strong background in fostering partnerships with startups and VCs, integrating organizations within innovation ecosystems, and enhancing the corporation's value propositions. Previous roles include Open Innovation Manager at Eroski, Sales & Business Developer at nexmart SL, and Project Manager for New Markets at EasyPark Group. Unai's early career included roles such as Board Member at Oikocredit, Economist & Researcher at Grameen Bank, and Comprehensive Advisor at FINCA Costa Rica. Unai holds a Master’s Degree in Innovation and Competitiveness from the University of Deusto and additional credentials in corporate entrepreneurship from the University of Maryland, along with a Graduate degree in Economics from the Universidad del País Vasco.
