Stefan Dörfler

Stefan Dörfler is the current CFO at Erste Group. Stefan has held this position since July 2007. Prior to this, they were the Head of Group Markets at Erste Group from March 1997 to June 2007. In this role, they were responsible for all divisionalised business units covering Capital Markets and Treasury activities. This included the respective activities of Erste Group Bank AG, the CEE subsidiaries, the foreign branches and the investment banks. Group Markets Trading and Origination focused on delivering capital markets related products and services to all institutional, corporate and retail customers of Erste Group.

From October 2016 to June 2019, Stefan was the CEO of Erste Bank Oesterreich. Prior to this, they were the Interest Rate Derivatives Trader at GiroCredit Bank AG from May 1995 to March 1997.

Stefan Dörfler was educated as a mathematician at the Technische Universität Wien.

They work with Alexandra Habeler-Drabek - CRO, Maurizio Poletto - Chief Platform Officer, and Ingo Bleier - Chief Corporates & Markets Officer. Stefan Dörfler reports to Bernd Spalt, Chair & CEO.
