Doug Angus

Doug Angus is an accomplished professional in the field of seismic geomechanics with extensive experience in both industry and academia. Currently serving as VP of Mining at ESG Solutions since October 2016, Doug has held multiple leadership roles, including Director Mine Seismology and Director of Data Analytics R&D, Software and IT, focusing on the integration of microseismic and geomechanical data. Prior to this, Doug was an Associate Professor at the University of Leeds, advancing research in seismic geomechanics and contributing to the development of the Applied Geoscience Institute. Doug's earlier positions include Research Associate at the University of Bristol, where innovative approaches to fluid-flow and geomechanical simulations were developed, and Post Doctoral Fellow at New Mexico State University, focusing on seismic imaging of the Earth's lithosphere. Doug holds a PhD in Theoretical Seismology and an MScEng in Applied Seismology, both from Queen's University.
