Firat Alpergin

Firat Alpergin is an accomplished Principal Software Engineer and Team Lead at Esri since March 2020, where the focus is on the iOS Mission Responder app for field personnel. Prior experience includes serving as an Engineering Manager and Software Architect at MicroStrategy from June 2007 to March 2020, overseeing a team of eight software engineers, managing tasks, and conducting code reviews. Additionally, Firat worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, specializing in Java EE development for educational technologies, and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, contributing to the development of a web-based course evaluation system. Firat earned a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Middle East Technical University.
