Werner van der Veen

Werner van der Veen is a data scientist currently employed at Essent since May 2024. Prior to this role, Werner served as a machine learning engineer at BigData Republic from June 2022 to April 2024, focusing on developing data applications and predictive models. Previous experience includes a position as a software engineer in research and development at Bollegraaf Recycling Solutions, a teaching assistant for a graduate machine learning course at the University of Groningen, and conducting research as an artificial intelligence researcher at UMCG, specializing in AI/ML methods in cardiology. Werner holds a master's degree and a bachelor's degree in artificial intelligence from the University of Groningen, as well as a diploma from Praedinius Gymnasium.
