Jeffrey Akin

Jeffrey Akin is an accomplished investor and advisor currently serving at Essentialist since January 2024. As the Founder and Managing Partner of AKIN Ventures, established in September 2005, Akin focuses on direct investments and strategic partnerships within the Health, Well-Being, and Lifestyle sectors. Akin holds the position of Chairman of the Board at Health Information Project (HIP), Inc., which empowers high school students to address health crises, and serves as a Senior Advisor for the David Lynch Foundation, promoting Transcendental Meditation for underserved communities. Other notable involvements include Akin's roles as an investor and advisor for Casa Del Sol Tequila, Quantum Energy Squares, and Storelli, among others. Akin's previous experience includes key positions in international media sales at ESPN and MTV Networks. Akin holds an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, a BA in International Relations from the University of Colorado Boulder, and has completed the Executive Program at Singularity University.
