Essex County College
Pamela Carman is an experienced educator with a robust background in forensic science and biology. Currently serving as a Forensic Science Teacher at Newark Public Schools since September 2016, Pamela develops a comprehensive curriculum aligned with NGSS and utilizes innovative teaching methods. Pamela has also held positions as a Curriculum Writer, New Teacher Mentor, and Senior Class Advisor, enhancing students' educational experiences. Concurrently, Pamela is an adjunct professor at both New Jersey Institute of Technology and Essex County College, teaching introductory courses in forensic science and biology. As of July 2023, Pamela serves as the Director of Academics and Enrichment for Hockey in New Jersey, overseeing program development and tutoring. Pamela holds a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the American College of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
