Richard Cherney

Richard Cherney is a senior partner in the Mergers & Acquisitions, Capital Markets, Private Equity, Financial Services and Life Sciences practices of Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg. From 2000 to 2015, he was a Managing Partner of the firm. Richard’s practice is varied and transactional in nature. He is a key adviser to both public and private companies, including some of Canada’s most important issuers and financial institutions, in connection with public and private acquisitions, divestitures, investments, public offerings and private placements. Richard is a member of the firm’s Management Committee. Richard is also a director of a number of public and private companies and is the vice chairman of the Montreal General Hospital Foundation.
