Asmamaw Setegn is a seasoned professional in international humanitarian law and legal education, currently serving as a Senior International Humanitarian Law Expert at the Ethiopian Red Cross Society since March 2021. With a robust academic background, Asmamaw holds a Master's degree in Criminal Justice and Human Rights Law from Bahir Dar University and has furthered studies at Leiden University and the University of London. As a lecturer at both Woldia and Mettu Universities, Asmamaw contributed to legal education from September 2016 to July 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a Legal Advisor at dVentus Wind Technologies and as a Public Prosecutor for the City Government of Addis Abeba's justice bureau.
