Damien Krauth has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Damien began their career as an intern at Alcatel in 2003, followed by a software development role at ALTEN where they worked on various projects for Alcatel. In 2005, they joined RBS as a .Net and C/C++ programmer. In 2008, they moved to Altran, where they held positions as an integrator, integration team leader, technical expert, and technical coordinator. In 2013, they joined eu-LISA and took on roles such as production applications support team coordinator, technical release coordinator, head of production applications support sector, release manager, and head of transition management sector. In 2022, they became the head of the Systems Operations Unit at eu-LISA.

Damien Krauth earned a DESS (Master) degree in Computer and Information Sciences with a specialization in Network and System Engineering from ISIAL, Henri Poincaré University (Nancy) in 2003. Damien also obtained an IUP degree in Mathematics and Computer Science with a specialization in Network applications from Louis Pasteur University (Strasbourg) in 2002. Prior to that, Damien earned a BTS (2 years technical degree) in Informatique Industrielle (Computer Science for Industries) from Lycée Alphonse Heinrich (Haguenau) in 1999. Additionally, Damien has obtained several certifications throughout their career, including: ITIL Intermediate RCV from PeopleCert in 2018, Prince2 Foundation from APMG-International in 2013, ITIL v3 Foundation from PeopleCert in 2013, and CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) from the Project Management Institute in 2011.

eu-LISA

This is the official company page for the European Union Agency for the Operational Management of Large-Scale IT Systems in the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice (eu-LISA). eu-LISA was established to manage large-scale information systems in the area of freedom, security and justice. It fulfils the operational management tasks for Eurodac, the Schengen Information System (SIS II) and the Visa Information System (VIS). The Agency thus supports the implementation of the EU's border management, asylum and migration policies. eu-LISA has also been entrusted with the preparation, development and operational management of the European Entry-Exit System (EES), the European Travel Information and Authorisation Systems (ETIAS) as well as the European Criminal Records Information System - Third Country Nationals (ECRIS-TCN) and ensure that both these and the already existing systems are interoperable. eu-LISA is responsible for keeping all the IT systems under its control permanently functional in order to allow continuous and uninterrupted exchange of data between national authorities.
