Catherine de Smedt

Catherine De Smedt has extensive experience in corporate communications, currently serving as the External Communications, Press & Information Officer at EUROCONTROL since May 1997. In this role, Catherine is responsible for editing the corporate magazine "Skyway," coordinating the organization's presence at major air traffic control events, and managing media relations, including inquiries and press briefings. Additionally, Catherine oversees the air traffic management information center, ensuring effective communication of inquiries related to air traffic management. Prior to EUROCONTROL, Catherine worked as an Online Corporate Communications Officer and held roles in executive assistance in the Sales and Marketing and Human Resources departments at Harris Semiconductor. Catherine holds degrees in Translation (French-English-Spanish) from the Institut Supérieur de traducteurs et interprètes and in Political Sciences and International Relations from the Université catholique de Louvain.
