Steven Shorrock

Steven Shorrock is an accomplished academic and practitioner in the fields of human factors, applied psychology, and safety management, with extensive experience spanning multiple sectors, including aviation and rail. Currently serving as a Course Tutor at The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and as a Senior Team Leader at EUROCONTROL, Steven promotes systems thinking and Just Culture principles throughout Europe. Holding key roles such as Co-Chair of the Safety Human Performance Sub Group and Editor-in-Chief of HindSight Magazine, Steven is deeply involved in developing safety culture initiatives and education programs. With a solid academic background, including a PhD from the University of Nottingham, Steven has held various teaching and consulting positions across prestigious institutions and organizations, contributing significantly to the advancement of human factors methodologies and frameworks.
