Gianpiero Nacci

Gianpiero Nacci is an experienced professional in the fields of sustainable business and climate action, currently serving as the Director of the Sustainable Business and Infrastructure for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). With a career at EBRD dating back to September 2003, Gianpiero has held various leadership roles, including Acting Director of Green Economy and Climate Action, and Deputy Head of Energy Efficiency and Climate Change, focusing on green investments and climate resilience across corporate sectors. Prior roles include positions at Inenco, Enron, and Maire Engineering, where Gianpiero was involved in energy audits, business development in power generation, and designing energy utilities. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Renewable Energy for Developing Countries from the University of Oldenburg and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino.
