Swantje G. has a distinguished career in advocacy and policy coordination, currently serving as the Head of Advocacy at the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) since July 2015. In this role, Swantje leads a team focused on shaping Europe's foreign and security policy. Previous positions at ECFR include Head of Campaigns, Campaign Manager, and Council Coordinator, contributing to the organization's mission of fostering informed debates and building coalitions at the European level. Swantje's earlier experience includes a Graduate Placement as an Assistant Policy Officer at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, where involvement in EU-Association Agreements for Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova took place, and a role as a Researcher at Hanover Communications, delivering research services for various sectors. Swantje holds a Master of Arts with Honours in French and Spanish from The University of Edinburgh and has studied at Universidad de Salamanca and Sciences Po Grenoble.
