Dr. Prokopios Drogkaris is a seasoned cybersecurity expert currently serving as the Deputy Data Protection Officer and Cybersecurity Expert at the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) since October 2015, with additional expertise at the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC) beginning in May 2023. Previous roles include Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Piraeus and Research Associate at the Center for Security Studies (KEMEA), focusing on information and communication systems security, privacy-enhancing technologies, and legal issues. Dr. Drogkaris has also contributed to several national and EU-funded projects, emphasizing data protection and cybersecurity, and has extensive experience in academia as a teaching associate across multiple universities. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Privacy and Security in e-Government Information Systems from the University of the Aegean and a Master's in Information Systems from City St George's, University of London.
