Jens Rick has a diverse work experience starting in 1998 as a Research Associate at the Max-Planck-Institute for Developmental Biology. Jens then worked as a Research Associate at ETH Zurich in 2000. Jens went on to hold various roles at Cellzome, including Group Leader from 2002-2005, Associate Director from 2005-2007, and Director from 2007-2008. Jens then became the Managing Director at Symagon GmbH from 2008-2011. Jens further worked as the COO and Executive Partner at DEVnet Holding GmbH from 2011-2015. Jens then joined Deutsche Börse as the Head of Energy IT from 2015-2019. Currently, Jens serves as the Chief Information Officer at both European Energy Exchange AG and European Commodity Clearing AG starting from 2019.
Jens Rick pursued their education in biochemistry from 1992 to 1998 at the University of Tübingen, earning a Diploma degree. Prior to that, they studied chemistry at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) from 1990 to 1992, where they completed their Vordiplom.
