Marcus Lindner

Principal Scientist at European Forest Institute

Marcus Lindner is a Principal Scientist at the European Forest Institute, leading the natural sciences team within the interdisciplinary Resilience Programme in Bonn since April 2003. Lindner has extensive experience in sustainability impact assessment and climate change strategies, having managed a project portfolio focusing on the forest-based sector and bioenergy potentials. Prior to this role, Lindner was a researcher at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, where studies concentrated on climate change impacts on managed forests in Central Europe. Lindner also served as a research associate at the University of Alberta and as a junior researcher at the University of Göttingen. Academically, Lindner holds a Diploma in Forest Science from the University of Freiburg, obtained in 1989.
