Mathias Link is an accomplished professional in the space sector, currently serving as Deputy CEO and Director at the Luxembourg Space Agency since September 2018. Key responsibilities include defining national space economic development strategies, coordinating Luxembourg's initiatives on space resources, and managing international relations related to space. In addition, Mathias holds leadership roles at the European Space Resources Innovation Centre (ESRIC) and has experience with the European Centre for Space Economy and Commerce (ECSECO). Prior positions include significant contributions to the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Ministry of the Economy in Luxembourg. Mathias holds a Microtechnical Engineer degree from EPFL and a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Universite de Lorraine.

Based in Luxembourg, the European Space Resources Innovation Center (ESRIC) fosters innovation and growth in the space resources industry by connecting leading academic, industrial and entrepreneurial talents. ESRIC’s activities are based on four main pillars: space resources research and development; support for economic activities; knowledge management and community management. The Centre, launched in Novembre 2020, is an initiative of the Luxembourg Space Agency (LSA) and the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology(LIST) in strategic partnership with the European Space Agency (ESA).
