Mira Banerjee

Mira Banerjee is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Head of Communications and PR at the European Union Agency for Asylum since June 2024. Previously, Mira held the position of Communication and Outreach Manager at the Nordic Development Fund from September 2021 to June 2024 and was the Head of Communications and Knowledge Management at the European Institute for Gender Equality from September 2015 to August 2021. Additional roles include Team Leader for External Communications at the European Chemicals Agency, Head of Communications at Nordic Culture Point, Senior Public Information Official at UNHCR for the Nordic and Baltic countries, Communications Manager at the Council of the Baltic Sea States, and Communications Manager at Tekes. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Social Sciences with a focus on Communication, Journalism, International Relations, and Environmental Policy from the University of Tampere.
