Matthew Hilborn

Matthew Hilborn has over 10 years of professional experience in the tech industry. Matthew began their career in 2000 as a Freelance Web Developer, partnering with clients through an end to end process from sketches to wire-frames to prototypes to go-live. Matthew implemented multiple Javascript frameworks (Angular, jQuery etc) and ensured W3C standards validation for all HTML and CSS.

In 2006, Matthew became a Supervisor at Vanguard, where they managed a team of 15 back-office employees handling $15+ million in b2b transactions daily. Matthew monitored daily activities and wrote / delivered year end reviews, as well as coached and developed team members to exceed department and personal goals.

From 2012 to 2014, Matthew worked as a Developer Consultant at Vanguard Health Systems. Matthew created Active Orders Awareness applications alerting providers to potential serious risk / complication situations, and developed a jQuery plug-in adding advanced user functionality and auto-validation. Matthew also increased code efficiencies, reducing application load times by 75%.

In 2014, Matthew moved to Tenet Healthcare, where they were also a Developer Consultant. Matthew created interactive internal web applications from the ground up, and developed a jQuery plug-in reducing team wide development time by 40%. Matthew also re-structured code for rapid development between hospital facilities.

Finally, Matthew worked as a Senior UI Engineer at Events.com in 2014.

Matthew Hilborn attended Arizona State University from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
