Stuart McDow has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Stuart started their career at Applied Research Labs, University of Texas at Austin in 1996, where they worked as a Senior Engineering Associate (Software Engineer) until 1998. Stuart then joined Ticom Geomatics in 1998 and held various roles including Senior Software Engineer, Group Head (Engineering Manager), and Senior Systems Engineer. At Ticom Geomatics, they were responsible for designing and developing software for their flagship product, a real-time signal processing system. Stuart also worked at RGM Advisors, LLC as a Software Developer and later joined PGS as a Senior Software Engineer.
In 2015, Stuart returned to Cadence Design Systems as a Senior Principal Software Engineer. Stuart was part of a team responsible for creating infrastructure and libraries to support the migration of existing software products. Stuart then joined CACI International Inc in 2016 as a Senior Software Engineer, before returning to Cadence Design Systems in 2018 as a Senior Principal Software Engineer.
Most recently, in 2020, Stuart joined Eventus as a Senior Systems Developer. In this role, they wrote high-throughput applications for ingesting and normalizing financial market data. Stuart utilized languages such as C++ and Python, with an emphasis on asyncio. Stuart also used various transport layers and message formats to handle the data provided by financial institutions.
