Brian Sugar

Brian Sugar is a seasoned entrepreneur and business leader with extensive experience in digital media and marketing. As the Founder of Sugar Capital and Avid Capital Advisors since 2020 and 2023 respectively, Sugar also holds a Board Member position at Everlane and has been instrumental in the success of POPSUGAR, which Sugar founded and merged with Group Nine Media in 2019, leading to its acquisition by Vox Media in 2021. Previous roles include Scout at Sequoia Capital, CEO of ShopStyle until its sale to Rakuten in 2017, and VP of Marketing at AT&T, where Sugar oversaw the successful sale of Sugar Media to 2Wire. Early career achievements include serving as Chief Web Officer at Kmart and VP of eCommerce at J.Crew, as well as founding Neptune.
