Jody Houghton has a diverse work experience in the field of network security and engineering. They started their career in 2006 as a Senior Network Engineer at Inspired Communications and worked there until 2010. In 2011, they joined COMLINK as a Senior Infrastructure and Datacenter Engineer, where they were responsible for implementing and managing the first Managed Services offering.
They moved to Transact Futures - CBOT - (Chicago Board of Trade) in 2014 as a Senior Security, Network, and Datacenter Engineer. Here, they were involved in day-to-day management and support of network infrastructure, network design, network security, and attack mitigation.
Later in 2014, Jody joined Keno Kozie Associates as a Senior Technical Advisor, where they worked as a Senior Network and Information Security Engineer until 2017.
In 2017, they joined Uptake as a NetOps Engineer, DevOps Engineer, and Data Engineer. In this role, they handled various responsibilities such as implementation, monitoring, and support of IPSEC VPN tunnels, MFA technologies, monitoring and support of InfoBlox and CloudFlare services, customer facing with Fortune 500 clients, working directly with Fortune 500 customer information security divisions, implementation and support of network monitoring tools, and implementation and support of various infrastructure elements.
Their most recent position is at EverOps, where they have been working as a Network Security Engineer since 2018.
Jody Houghton attended the University of Chicago from 1990 to 2016. During this time, no specific degree or field of study were mentioned. In addition to their university education, Jody received a certification in CCNA RS v3 from Cisco in May 2018.
